Paypal President to Take the Helm at Yahoo

Yahoo, today announced that its new Chief Executive would be Paypal president Scott Thompson. Many feel he is an unusual choice given that his background isn't in digital media. Mr Thompson has been president of Paypal for more than 3 years. He proved to be very successful at Paypal, expanding its membership by more than double and almost trebling its revenue to $4 billion. Only time will tell if he'll work the same magic at Yahoo. The company receives 700 million visitors a month but is in need of some rejuvenation. Mr Thompson is a replacement for Carol Bartz who was let go in September.
